Man punches shark. Saves dog.
SLAMORADA, Fla. — A dog is recovering after a Florida Keys carpenter dove in to save his pet from a shark.
Greg LeNoir said he took his 14-pound rat terrier Jake for a daily swim at a marina Friday.
The 5-foot shark suddenly surfaced and grabbed nearly the entire dog in its mouth.
LeNoir said he yelled, then balled up his fists and dove headfirst into the water. He hit the shark in the back and the creature finally let go of the dog.
Man and dog made it safely back to shore. The dog suffered bite wounds but was not critically injured.

Wow! That is really loving your dog-friend deeply to risk your life to save them. You heart more about dogs risking their lives to save humans, but rarely humans risking their lives to save a dog. That was one courageous human. How amazing.

robin, not speaking for this chap but thank goodness, many people are ” hard wired ” to react in an emergency and just ” jump ” in with little thought at the time for their own safety. many of us have done something similar.
this is over the top for sure!
i can see myself if i were that person, days later, everytime i looked at my doggie i might go to the liquor cabinet…
