BBQ bees.
So I’m using my BBQ this weekend… So I thought I’ll clean it up… I have known there were some bees coming from under the cover so I thought I’d kill them, obviously… Here’s the BBQ in question.
Now I know these bombs aren’t for bees but I thought I’ll suffocate/smoke them out. So here is the weapon of choice and delivery system.

I thought I was pretty smart hehehe designed to be easily maneuvered under the cover of darkness… So then I release the weapon of buzz destruction…

OMFG! the sound from under the cover was incredible! !! You could hear it 3m away… Then I ran like the clappers…

Coming back a few minutes later to see the death toll… There was at least a 20mm deep mass grave…

I continued to remove the cover and to light the BBQ to give it a clean when I noticed some fatty looking substance on the top of the side shelf thing…
Bit weird… I cleaned it before I put it away for winter and no way was there fat there so I begun to wonder… NO… it can’t be could it? I slowly removed the rest of the cover only to find the HQ…

AND ON ANOTHER NOTE…We think the queen flew away… Either that or a small child has wings and has been living in the hive cuz that thing was huge!

Oh my god! Incredible what can they do, this insects! We have terrible problems with their different representants (specially those that make homes for the egg from mud -these make them INSIDE the rooms!).

what i really love about this story of stupidity and cruelty is the fact that the IDIOT IN QUESTION has covered his or her BBQ in poison.
my sincere wish for this individual is- ENJOY ALL YOUR POISONOUS FUTURE BARBECUED MEALS :-))))
by the way, the plural of “bee” is “bees”, not “bee’s”

i don’t know who the author of these images/story is but the thought of poison on the BBQ did cross my mind. we had to hire an exterminator on two occasions to get rid of hornets in the attic. both times “bombs” were used and our family was told to stay out of the attic for a ‘few” days.
anyone have any ideas how one would remedy this situation without using poison?

Wow, you had a swarm. A hive. Next time, please call a bee-keeper. They will happily take the bees away, especially with the populations dropping due to mite infestations and mysterious illnesses.

Oh my God, this is incredible. Wow too bad to you have to kill them to remove them, but how in the world they chose your bbq. Thanks for sharing your story, amazing. Anna

I saw on another post that if you call animal control they will put you in touch with a local beekeeper who will remove them for free. Also may supply you with some free honey. Something to keep in mind : )
